After I cut them off, sew the backs (heels) back together with contrasting thread.

Crochet & line a bottom for where the sole/toe would be, using the excess material from the two tongues as lining.

Use the eyelets/laces for closure.

Voila.

Totally about to chop off the fabric bits and crochet my own design to be sewn into the sole like so:

Only in colors that are not reminiscent of Mexican Christmas + Puce.

Winging the pattern because I don’t know if there is one/where to find it/these shoes were $12 so I’m willing to screw it up at least once in the process.

Got the red yarn; just need some sequins & a plan. I’ll have my goddamn Ruby Converse Slippers yet.
